Snow Park is the best freestyle specific resort in the world!

Is that too much? OK. Perhaps the best freestyle resort in the world! Maybe considering Snow Summit might complain about me creating a ranking system that is just an opinion but hey what the hell. Snow Park is about as strange of a place as you will ever find on earth. A place where there is normally not much if not no natural snow and yet perfect parks, pipes, gaps, quarters, boxes, stair rails and so on and so on. And now they even have a gondola under construction to get you up there so you don't have to drive the sketchy road to get to it. They have accommodation on the mountain - pimp and not so pimp - they have a bar, a chairlift and one of the best park builders in the business.

On top of that they are kiwis. Kiwis (New Zealanders for those that are not familiar with New Zealand wildlife) are the most determined people on the planet. If they think they can do it they go and do it. And normally because there are no rules in New Zealand they do it before anyone else anywhere else in the world. Look at Mt Everest. They got up there first didn't they. Well second if you count the sherpa that got him there but none the less they got there fist in the record book and that is pretty amazing! They have the ugliest prime minister ever but that is another story... So on to Snow Park. Perfect halfpipe. Voted by many as the best pipe on the planet.

So in short Snow Park is well worth a visit.

Wanaka is just down the road (on of the prettiest places you could ever imagine but not too many girls there - in case you thought you were headed to Sweden - remember the prime minister) and there are loads of places to stay. Town is full of real ski bumbs and sick skate park and good rock climbing. Not a bad meat pie and loads of beer.

Step ups, step downs, helicopters filming in the pipe and more stupidity than any resort has ever thrown down for a film project.
